The Problem

Employees needed a clear and engaging way to understand and retain essential cybersecurity practices. Traditional training methods were not effective. As a result, employees were failing to recognize phishing attempts and follow security best practices, which increased the risk of costly data breaches.

The Solution

I designed an interactive Cybersecurity Awareness Training module using Articulate Storyline 360. The course uses a tab-based interface to guide learners through four key cybersecurity topics in a clean and intuitive format:

  1. Types of Cyber Threats: This section explains common threats such as phishing, malware, and ransomware, including how they work and why they are dangerous.

  2. Best Practices for Staying Secure: Learners receive actionable tips like using strong passwords, enabling multi-factor authentication, and practicing secure browsing.

  3. Warning Signs of a Cyber Attack: This section helps learners identify red flags such as suspicious emails, unusual system behavior, and unauthorized account activity.

  4. Organizational Policies: Learners review company-specific protocols, including acceptable use guidelines, data protection standards, and procedures for reporting incidents.

Key Features:

  • Interactive Design: A tabbed layout with animations and visual cues keeps learners engaged throughout the experience.

  • Scenario-Based Learning: Realistic examples help learners connect the material to their day-to-day responsibilities.

  • Knowledge Reinforcement: Optional knowledge checks at the end of each section help reinforce the learning objectives and boost retention.

This project demonstrates my ability to create engaging, learner-centered training that supports business goals and improves employee performance. It is a strong example of how I use instructional design and technology to deliver meaningful learning experiences.
